Bowden leaves Cathay for HAECO
Cathay Pacific head of global cargo partnerships Chris Bowden will leave his role next to join Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) as group general manager, safety & quality.
Bowden will make the move in March next year and will be replaced by Siddhant Iyer, currently head of cargo markets & customer solutions.
“After 3 years of exceptional leadership, Chris Bowden, our Head of Cargo Global Partnerships, will be moving to HAECO and promoted into the role of Group General Manager, Safety & Quality in March 2025,” said Cathay Cargo in a LinkedIn post.
“In this regard, we’re pleased to announce that Siddhant Iyer, our Head of Cargo Markets & Customer Solutions, will be taking up this key commercial role. Siddhant’s wealth of experience in the region shall prove invaluable in building further on the relationships with our global partners.
“Our heartfelt congratulations to Chris once again — we wish him every success in his new position at HAECO. With Siddhant succeeding his position, we remain ever so excited for what the future holds for Cathay Cargo.”
Bowden joined Cathay shareholder the Swire Group over 15 years ago and worked across a variety of offshore oil and gas shipping roles for Swire Pacific Offshore for nearly 10 years, latterly as general manager for Southeast Asia, based in Singapore.
Bowden began his career with Cathay in August 2018 as a country manager for Indonesia before moving to Hong Kong in September 2020 when he was appointed head of planning and business improvement focusing on efficiency and customer care.
He took on his current role managing the global partnerships and marketing teams of Cathay Cargo in February 2022.
